In Case We’re Not Meant to Stay Together
I don’t have any idea what the future holds, but one thing for sure, I will never have regrets that once, I shared my whole life with you. Whatever happens or however we end, I’ll still be thankful to you for everything. You’re already a significant part of me as a person and nothing can erase that event. People will always remember us being together. We are the building block of each other.
All the love letters, stuffed toys, keychains, etc you gave me will be kept safe inside my shelves, together with the memories of how these things made me happy before. I will continue including your health and happiness in my prayers because hurting you in my actions, words, or in mind is something I can never afford. Just like what we used to be, I’ll remain proud and happy for your achievements, whether it’s school-related or even a brand new love life— you’ll see me somewhere in the crowd smiling at you. Yes, nothing will change during your birthday, I’m going to greet you still with a full-blown “Happy Birthday” message on your Facebook timeline with a sweet photo of us attached. That’s how much I love you. Even if time unexpectedly comes that I am no longer entitled to your love, I’ll stay faithful with how I feel towards you.

Don’t worry. Hurting myself has no place in my plans. I’ll keep going. I’ll move forward. I won’t stay too long to our ending. I’ll begin another chapter in my life. But just let me bring our memories wherever I go. I don’t know for how long, but they really are my source of motivation and inspiration. And I owe you a lot for that. Thanks, bud!
I know, this sounds too romantic even if the thought inside is indeed heartbreaking. But just imagine how beautiful it can be if all breakups will take place this way. Like a sunset that portrays a beautiful ending.
